Aileen Wuornos’s Son – What Happened To Him? Where Is He Now?

Writer William Burgess

Not much is known about Aileen Wuornos’s Son.

Most true crime fans are aware of Aileen Wuornos’ tragic and horrific tale as one of the most prolific female serial killers in history.

Aileen Wuornos‘ case is particularly intriguing because the seeds of her aggressive nature were laid in her early childhood.

Who Is the Son of Aileen Wuornos?

The specifics of Aileen Wuornos’ son are not known to the general public. What is known, though, are the circumstances and events that preceded the pregnancy.

Alieen was only fourteen years old when she delivered a baby boy to her home.

Her infant was up for adoption. Little is known about what happened to Aileen Wuornos’s child because of the closed adoption.

There is no particular information about the adopted parents or siblings of Aileen Wuornos’s son.

The Truth Behind The Birth Of Her Son

Aileen gave birth to her one and only child on March 23, 1971, who was the result of a r*pe at the hands of her grandfather’s friend.

She gave birth at home, which was customary at the time for single women. After that, the child was placed for adoption.

She quit school a few months later when she was only 15 years old. After a dispute with her grandfather, she was kicked out of the house and had nowhere to go.

As a result, she gave her son up for adoption and kept engaging in prostitution to support herself.

Her Son Belong To A Criminal Family

Rochester, Michigan is where Aileen was born. Diane Wuornos, her mother, married Leo Dale Pittman when she was just 14 years old and he was already 16 years old.

Due to the fact that her father was serving time for s*x offenses against children, Aileen was never able to meet him.

He also had a schizophrenia diagnosis, and he eventually committed suicide in jail. Aileen and her brother were adopted by Lauri and Britta Wuornos after her mother decided to give up parenting.

Unfortunately, Aileen’s problems didn’t end there.

Aileen’s grandparents were violent and alcoholics. Lauri repeatedly stripped his granddaughter of her clothes and thrashed her.

She would be subjected to s*xual assault from him and his buddies as well.

She shared a bed with her brother as well. When she was 11 years old, she began pr*stituting to earn cash for cigarettes and beer.

Where Is Aileen Wuornos Son Now?

The adoption was finalized, therefore, the child’s identity is unknown to the general public. There are no details about the whereabouts of her child.

We are not even sure if her son is dead or alive.

Additionally, it appears that this adoption cannot be changed because doing so requires the approval of both the kid and the parent.

Aileen received capital punishment for the murder of 7 men in Florida, and on October 9, 2002, she was executed by lethal injection.

Between Michigan and Florida, Aileen Wuornos frequently moved, committing a range of low-level offenses such as armed robbery, automobile theft, and passing counterfeit checks.

She never stayed in one place for very long; she was frequently in and out of jail until she met the love of her life, at least.

Final Verdict

Wuornos will always be remembered as a rare example of a female serial killer.

Aileen Wuornos’s Son was born as a result of a brutal r*pe committed by her grandfather’s friend.

Aileen was just fourteen. She found it challenging to take care of herself and was unable to care for her son.

The best choice she made was to allow another family to adopt him. She ended the cycle of violence that made her into the monster she became by choosing adoption for her son.
