Unfortunately, on October 22, 2018, a commodity happened in Montclair, New Jersey.
The police got a call and rushed to Angela Bledsoe’s home, where they set up her shot to death in the kitchen.

After this terrible event, James left his son with his family, Robert, and told him to take care of her for 24 hours.

How Was Angela Bledsoe’s Killer Caught?
After killing Angela, Ray fled to Mexico City and latterly to Cuba. Knowing he was in a different country, Essex County issued a transnational leave for Ray.
On October 31, 2018, US authorities received Ray from Cuban police, and they subsequently transported him to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey.
When they captured Ray, they set up an 18-runner journal written by Ray detailing what happened that day.
According to the letter, Ray fled because he felt he wouldn’t get a fair trial back home.
On October 10 — only days before she died — Lisa texted her sister, saying: “ANGIE, YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THERE ASAP. I’m worried about you. You’re not safe there.”
James R. Ray III’s Death
The pandemic caused a delay in Ray’s sentencing.
However, Ray passed away in jail, awaiting his sentencing, in June 2023.
While the cause of death remains undisclosed, police reported that Ray experienced a medical emergency.
Ray’s lawyer told CBS2: “What we know is that James Ray III has been confirmed deceased. Why, how, and where exactly? The Essex County Jail is the only one who can answer these questions, along with the Medical Examiner.”
