Annette has a son named Gordon and a daughter named Susan from her marriage to Justice Robert. Susan is their first child, whereas Gordon was born as their second child.

Annette's children were both raised in New York and are grown up now.

Susan Reed

Annette Gordon-Reed first child Susan J G Reed is an MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management. 

Susan attended Trinity School, NYC, for her high school education. In 2010, she joined the Universidad de Granada to study Spanish Language and Literature. Likewise, in 2011, she attended the University of Oxford to learn US History.

Susan J. G.Reed started a new job today at JPMorgan Chase as a Public Policy Associate focusing on Corporate Responsibility and Government Relations with an emphasis on second-chance hiring and workforce development.

Reed later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in 2012. She also has a Master of Studies degree in US History from the University of Oxford.

Regarding her professional career, Reed started working over 10 years ago, She first joined the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University in 2010.

Moreover, Susan worked in different positions at the New York City Mayor's Office from 2014 to 2018. She also served as the Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co before joining Goldman Sachs as a Summer Associate in June 2022.

Gordon Reed

Gordon Reed was born as the second child of Annette and Robert in 1992. He is 31 years old in 2023.

Unlike her daughter Susan, the historian hasn't revealed much info about her son. She has only mentioned a few details about him via her Twitter. Reed once described her son as a gifted writer; however, she didn't expand further on the nature of the writings or whether he was a professional writer.

Gordon played baseball during his childhood and was a player for The Blues at the Little League. Annette served as the coach of her son's team, whereas Robert was the manager.

Further, Annette also describes Gordon as an avid traveler who has already visited countries like England and Iceland.
