Personal Statement

NEW VIDEO OF 2011 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS. CLICK ON VIDEO ON THIS SITE. My name is Blake Deal (Jersey # 11) and I am in my Senior year at Savannah High School (Savannah, Missouri). This year our team, the Savannah Savages, took 3rd place in State. I was voted as one of 4 Captains for our varsity team this season. I am a member of the National Honor Society.  Activities that I am involved with are Student Council, I'm on the high school newspaper staff, YoungLife, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), FCCLA, I'm a High Step Mentor, and I am on High Honor Roll. After Varsity practice I spend 2-3 hours every day coaching younger kids in Bantam football as well as coach their team on weekend games. I am currently a 6'3 175 pound Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. I have been playing contact football for going on 11 years now. My Junior year I was awarded 1st team All-Conference Wide Receiver, All-District WR, and Honorable Mention All-Conference DB. I was also named on the KKWK Radio All-Star Team. This year, my Senior year, I was voted Athlete of the Week, KKWK Radio All Star Team, All-District WR, and All Conference WR and DB, All State 2nd team receiver (coaches vote), All State 2nd team receiver Class 4 (media vote) and Newspress All Star Team. Our team took 3rd in State. I push my teammates and I also help those who need it. I work hard every day to further my football talent. I find time every day to do something football related whether it's lift, play catch, watch game film , or attend camps and combines in the summer. The size of the school isn't as important as the academic and football atmosphere. I want to play football and be part of a college team. I will work as hard as I can to play as soon as possible and I'll represent my team on and off the field.
