Brownsville Accident That Got Fatal And Mashed A Man And Woman

Writer Scarlett Howard

Brownsville accident was recently headlined in the news. The accident information was also shared on the internet as many people wanted to know the cause of the fatal accident.

According to Brownsville, there were at least two people died during the fatal accident on Frontage Road in Brownsville.

It was reported from strong sources that the accident took place on Monday at around 3 pm. The incident occurred in front of the Sunrise Plaza Mall

Officer Rodriguez, the Chief of Brownsville police Orlando, said that two people died in the accident: one was 84-year-old Santiago Zarate, and the other was 59-year-old Marie Del Carmen Mares.

A third person was caught in the accident but escaped from it without any serious injuries.

During the investigation, the Morrison Road exit that leads northbound remained closed. The fire crews had worked hours to clear the road from the hazardous parts and accident scraps.

The turnaround from South Frontage Road leading to Ruben Torres was also closed during the clean-up.

Since the area was highly trafficked, the police investigated the accident by gathering accounts from witnesses.

According to Officer Rodriguez, an SUV towed a small car with a rope. While traveling through a congested area, the rope gave out, and the small car stopped at the left lane of the Frontage road along I-69E/US 77.

The man in SUV and the woman in the small car immediately went out to tie the rope back on.

Rodriguez said that he was told a pickup truck driving northbound crashed into the small car from behind. The impact caused the man and women to mash them between the vehicles.

The truck driver told authorities that he was trying to turn into the expressway. The truck driver was not seriously injured and endured some minor scratches.

The police said they had to reconstruct the entire situation to gather more details. They also said they couldn’t find evidence of how and where the car was being towed.

Rodriguez said that a rope towing a car should be tied at a “very short” distance. And he said that rope is used in extreme circumstances.

Rodrigues said, “Something that gives you a secure way of towing. A rope is not a safe way to tow a vehicle, especially in a frontage road area or expressway area. It’s extremely dangerous as you can see what happened today.”

He strictly said, “There’s no such thing as towing with a white flag to bring attention to cross traffic, but we’re talking about surface streets, side streets. We’re not talking about a busy area like frontage road near an expressway.”

The investigation of the fatal accident in Brownsville is ongoing.
