Christine McVie uploaded the final photo on her Instagram account before passing away. Two days prior to her passing, she made a post about a company called Julien’s Auctions which is situated on Western Avenue in Gardena.

She also wrote on her blog about the Grateful Dead’s Grammy nomination. In the post, she acknowledged each of her followers. Christine uploaded a video of herself playing the piano on November 4 along with an old message.

On November 4, Christine McVie posted a video of herself playing the piano with the caption “from the archives.” 

This was two days before she passed away. In the post, she also thanked her followers for their support. Grateful Dead was nominated for a Grammy award, and she posted about it on her Instagram account. 

Julien’s Auctions, located in western avenue Gardena, is a business she posted about before her death. It is clear that Christine McVie enjoyed sharing her life with her fans through social media. 

The last photo she posted was of herself, and it is a fitting tribute to her life. She will be missed by many.

How did she die? 

Christine McVie, whose bluesy vocals and keyboards helped provide the signature sound of the influential rock band, Fleetwood Mac, died on Wednesday after a brief illness. She was 79.

The musician’s family announced her death on social media, writing that she died at the hospital “following a short illness,” surrounded by her family.

The British singer-songwriter was behind hits including Little Lies, Everywhere, Don’t Stop, Say You Love Me, and Songbird. Her warm voice and catchy melodies helped make Fleetwood Mac one of the most successful bands of the 1970s and ’80s.

In 1998, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with her bandmates. McVie retired from touring in 1998 but continued to record with Fleetwood Mac until 2014.

In recent years, she had made sporadic appearances with the group, including at their induction into the Kennedy Center Honors in 2018. She will be remembered as a talented musician and a key part of one of rock’s most successful bands.

While a band reunion was still a possibility, she told Rolling Stone last year that she didn’t feel “physically up for” one last tour despite the possibility.

“My health is not very good. I’m crippled with a persistent back condition. I don’t know if I could physically do it because I stand up to play the piano. The flesh is weak but the mind is willing,” She spoke. “Being at home makes me very happy. I’m not sure if I want to go on tour again. It’s bloody difficult work. I’ll just say that we might and leave it at that.”

Who was Christine McVie?

Christine McVie was born on July 12, 1943, in Birmingham, England. She joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970, replacing the band’s original keyboardist, Spencer Davis. 

McVie wrote or co-wrote some of the band’s most successful singles, including “Don’t Stop,” “You Make Loving Fun,” and “Everywhere.” She also served as the band’s lead vocalist on several tracks, including “Say You Love Me” and “Hold Me.”

In 1998, McVie retired from Fleetwood Mac and returned to her native England. She has since made occasional guest appearances with the band but has not officially re-joined.
