Colleen Weaver Missing Raynham Ma: Found Safe In New York City

Teenager Colleen Weaver was found safe late Thursday night in New York City. The 16-year-old, who left her Raynham home nine days earlier, was reported missing.
The Raynham Police Department reported that the FBI and the New York City Police Department assisted in locating her around 11 p.m.
According to police, she was found “by investigative means.”
“We are so relieved to have Colleen back,” her father Casey Weaver wrote on Facebook Friday morning. “All of you have a deep place in our hearts. Words can’t describe how much we love you all.. so many people to thank up front and behind the scenes.”
In a joint statement, her family said they were “relieved beyond belief” that she was safe.
“We respectfully ask for privacy at this time so we can focus on Colleen,” they wrote.
On Thursday night, the Raynham community prayed for Colleen’s return at a candlelight vigil.
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 18, Colleen went missing between 1 and 4 a.m., according to her mother.
“We just smiled at each other, did a little wave,” Kristen Weaver said. “She was half asleep. She just went into her room and that was it.”
As part of their investigation, the police believed she was 100 miles away from Raynham with someone.
The investigation is at an early stage, so it is not possible to provide any more information at this time.
Coleen’s whereabouts were unknown when the police found her.
With the help of the FBI, New York City Police located the location of Colleen about 200 miles away at around 11 p.m. When the police were able to locate Colleen, the FBI helped them locate the location of Colleen.
After Colleen’s mother, Kristen Weaver, saw Colleen on 18th October last, the police became aware of Colleen’s disappearance. Colleen’s mother further explained Colleen has a neurological problem that makes her difficult to handle.
Apparently, Colleen Weaver Missing Raynham Ma happened after she met an older man online who pretended to be a teenage boy.
Raynham’s police chief said Colleen was probably with someone else. As of yet, no further information has been found about the person who posed as a teenager.
As a result, police have not been able to release any further information on Colleen’s whereabouts.
According to sources, the police had believed that Colleen had been left with someone when Special Agent of the FBI Boston Charge Joseph R. Bonavolonta reported that Colleen had been found.
