Extraordinary is led by talented cast members such as Máiréad Tyers, Luke Rollason, Sofia Oxenham, and Bilal Hasna.
Máiréad Tyers as Jen
Tyres will be playing the protagonist in the show; she will portray the role of Jen. She is a 25-year-old woman who works in a fancy dress shop, and she is the only person who didn't get any powers when she turned 18.
Jen will be trying several methods in the hope of becoming extraordinary.
Máiréad is new to the industry; she is known for appearing as Auntie Eileen in the film Belfast and for appearing in one episode of the television show Tell Me Everything as Orla.
She will be appearing in the television show My Lady Jane, which will be released in 2023.
Luke Rollason as Jizzlord
Rollason will be playing the character of Jizzlord in his first television appearance as a lead. He is also a flatmate of Jen's. In the trailer, he is seen shifting from a human to a cat and helping Jen find her superpowers.
Luke is known for performing creative physical comedy and for his show Bowerbird, which was nominated for the Comedians' Choice Awards. He has also appeared in other television shows such as Industry, Becoming Elizabeth, and Pulped: Bad Tech.
Since 2017, he has been serving as an associate director at Justice in Motion. As a writer and director, he is associated with De Novo Films and has worked on short films including Surfing and Fan's Labyrinth.
Sofia Oxenham as Carrie
Oxenham will be playing Jen's best friend, Carrie. She will be helping her friend in her search for power, but at the same time, Carrie is concerned that her friend will get hurt and heartbroken.
Sofia is known for portraying the role of Tess Tregedden in the BBC's Poldark and as Eydis in the Netflix series Cursed. Her other television credits include Soulmates, Dracula, Doc Martin, and Grantchester.
In 2017, she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Bilal Hasna as Kash
Hasna will portray the role of Kash, who is Carrie's boyfriend and a friend of Jen. In the trailer, he is seen denying that he is depressed; instead, he believes that he is in the middle of a redemption arc.
Previously, he played the role of DS Norris in the television show Screw, and in 2020, he appeared in one episode as Shahid in Sparks. He is set to appear as the main character in the film Layla, which will be released in 2023.
