Hans Niemann's parents are David Niemann and Mary Niemann.

Cheating Allegations Against Hans Niemann

Hans Niemann was first accused of cheating by Magnus Carlsen after he defeated the latter. 

The two faced each other again at the Julius Baer Generation Cup. The game ended when Magnus gave up after two moves. A week later, Carlsen released an open letter on Twitter accusing his opponent of cheating. 

Later, the online portal Chess.com also released a 72-page-long statement claiming that Hans had indeed cheated on more than 100 games. 

Niemann has confessed to cheating on two occasions when he was 12 and 16, but he claims to have never cheated on an event with prize money.

As of now, Chess.com has banned Hans from the site and also revoked his invitation to the Chess.com Global Championship.

The internet is divided on the allegations against Niemann. While some have criticized the young player for cheating, others have supported him as there is no evidence that he actually cheated.

Hans Niemann Has Filed A Lawsuit Of $100 Million

Amid the cheating allegations, Hans has filed a lawsuit worth $100 million.

The defamation lawsuit is filed against Chess.com, Magnus Carlsen, Daniel Rensch, and Hikaru Nakamura. The case was filed at a Missouri Court on October 20.  

Hans' lawsuit claims that the defendants defamed him and unlawfully blacklisted him from the profession to which he has devoted his life.

In retrospect, Chess.com has released a statement claiming the lawsuit was baseless. The statement adds that Niemann accepted cheating on multiple occasions and that Chess.com had earlier handled his misdemeanors privately.
