Personal Statement

It has always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid to play baseball at the highest level possible. This dream drives me to work hard and to compete in everything that I do. As much as I love the game, grades come first. If my grades start to drop, my parents will pull me out of baseball. Knowing this, I work hard in the classroom to be able to play the game that I love. I also enjoy the brotherhood and friendships that come with the game. I love and respect baseball, but I also understand that it can be humbling. When the game humbles you, it is making sure that you really want to play for the love of the game and not for selfish recognition. I have that love for the game and want to be the best around. There might be someone else throwing harder than me, but nobody will work as hard or compete as aggressively as me. If you want a show pony that looks good, I'm not your guy; but if you want a bulldog that will fight for your team, I think we would work well together.
