Gabby Petito‘s illness and mental health updates have attracted much media attention worldwide. 

The brutal death of Gabrielle Venora Petito, 22, an American woman, has shocked the world. 

Gabby’s death has led to an outpouring of grief and concern from millions of well-wishers worldwide who have been keen to uncover more information about what happened to her. 

Gabby and her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, had embarked on a van life journey across the United States in July 2021. However, Gabby’s life was cut short in August when her partner killed her.

Recent reports have revealed that she suffered from a specific health condition, which has left many people wondering about her illness.

On August 24, 2021, Gabby Petito vanished during her road trip with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie. Laundrie returned to his parent’s house in Florida alone, sparking suspicion among investigators. 

When questioned about Gabby’s location, Laundrie remained silent, and investigators identified him as a person of interest in the investigation.

On September 1, Gabby’s mother reported her missing, and a search was launched. A week later, Gabby’s body was discovered in a remote area of the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming. 

A coroner later determined that strangulation was the cause of her death and the manner of death was a homicide.

Investigators found several distressing stickers on Gabby’s Pinterest profile, which she had shared regarding mental health. 

Gabby had also blogged about how “life is misery,” causing concern among online sleuths.

Gabby’s Instagram account further raised suspicions when she posted a pen drawing of a female face in April 2020. However, it is unclear whether this was related to her death.

On August 17, 2021, Laundrie left Gabby behind and boarded a flight from Salt Lake City to Tampa, Florida. 

Gabby stayed at a Fairfield Inn and Suites hotel close to Salt Lake City International Airport for several days before leaving on August 24. 

Laundrie’s family attorney later explained that he had retrieved certain items and closed the storage container to save money as they mulled, extending the road trip. Laundrie returned to meet Gabby on August 23.

Gabby’s death has sparked an ongoing investigation into Laundrie’s involvement. 

A warrant for his arrest was issued on suspicion that he had used Gabby’s debit card to withdraw money. 

On September 13, Laundrie left his house, and his disappearance was reported four days later. A nationwide search is currently underway for him.

The FBI has released a timeline outlining the progress of the Petito case, indicating that the investigation is nearing completion.

In a news release on January 21, 2022, the agency disclosed that after reviewing the contents of a notebook found near Laundrie’s remains, they discovered written statements by Mr. Laundrie claiming responsibility for Ms. Petito’s death. 

The agency stated that they have met with Petito’s family and that the investigation will soon be closed, as all logical investigative steps have been completed. 

No other individuals besides Brian Laundrie were involved in the tragic death of Gabby Petito.
