Personal Statement
My name is Isaac Boaz. I am a defensive end at Liberty High School in Bealeton, Virginia. I am 6’1”, 210 pounds. Ever since I was in elementary school, football has meant so much to me and has been a big part of my life. The thing I love about football is being able to use my strength, speed, and athletic abilities, and also I love being with a large group of people and forming a bond with them. I played youth football in elementary school, and eventually worked my way up to high school. Unfortunately, I did not make the high school football team my freshman and sophomore year because I struggled with my grades. After not being able to play football my sophomore year because of my grades, that’s when it really sank in that I need to work harder and take my schoolwork seriously. So I began to work harder and study more and became eligible to play again my junior season. I continued to work hard with my schoolwork and football, and I eventually found myself on the honor roll. Football has really motivated me to push myself harder, physically and academically. It has made a huge impact on who I am. My goal is to play football in college and continue to do well on and off the field. I plan on getting a degree in kinesiology. My goal is to become a teacher/ coach, because I enjoy sports and physical activity and would love to share that with younger generations.
