Personal Statement

Strong student, strong player, extremely athletic (good hands, feet and jumping ability), great court vision, coachable, team player, loyal, level headed, graduating at 17, who's in my fourth year of competitive basketball after 5yrs as a football player (receiver), with ALL upside to contribute to my college team, coaches and institution.

Product of D1 athletes, driven to work hard, compete, continually improve, and win. I want to earn a basketball scholarship to play at the next level and get a college education. My dream is to play professional, but primary goal is to earn a college scholarship. I'm a senior transfer at Keystone Prep High School. I will start on the Varsity Basketball team at point guard.  I previously attended Carrollwood Day School, participating in the IB curriculum.   I have played the past three spring/summer AAU seasons with Legacy Athletics (LA42018).  

I was a football player (receiver) until falling in love with the game of basketball while playing in a YMCA developmental league with friends during the summer of 2014. My parents are stable and support me with going after my dreams. I'm extremely coachable. I work hard to make myself and my team better. I have a good sense of humor and get along well with others.

I am committed to exceeding academic requirements and working hard to continually improve my basketball skills during team practices and on my own time. I have strong defensive skills, quick hands and feet, along with speed, and good hand eye coordination.  I also have great jumping ability. I'm able to dunk (in practice...I do lay ups in games or feed dunks to others).

Based on the age I will be when graduating (17), timing of my decision to focus only on basketball as my sport, academic commitment, athletic ability,  potential, and parental support, I will be all upside for the College/University and coaches I play for and represent.
