Personal Statement

A short note regarding my Senior HL.   I broke my fibula this summer and was told I would miss my entire Senior season.  But I worked REAL hard to get back to the gridiron and made the final 3 games of the season!!   Please view my 2 Junior HL's (Offense and Defense) also they are full season HL's.

  My name is Joseph DeLuca, class of 2016 at Walter Panas HS in Cortlandt Manor NY.  I don't just play football I am a football player and I want to play college football with a competitive football program.  No one works harder than me, in the classroom, on the field and in the gym.  I am committed to helping my teammates win every game.  As a team Captain I am a motivator for my teammates and a leader on and off the field.  As a sophomore I was the starting DT on varsity and was named to the Section 1 All-League team.  As a junior, I was appointed varsity Captain.  I was a two way starter, playing Tailback and MLB.  I also played DT, and Receiver.  I was named to the Section 1 All- Conference Team and the Section 1 All-League team. During the off season I will continue to work on my strength/conditioning and sports performance training program at M2 (Peekskill, NY) to be bigger, faster and stronger than I was yesterday.  Football is my motivation academically, working just as hard in the classroom. I want to study Homeland Security/Criminal Justice.  My goal is to play football at the highest level I can and help my team win championships; at the same time getting the best education to secure my future.
