Joshua Chandler's Baseball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

I have been playing the game of baseball since I started t-ball at the age of 5.  Along with my natural athletic ability, I have always put forth an extraordinary amount of effort into the game.  In my freshman year of high school, I made the varsity team with juniors and seniors all looking to secure a starting position.  I knew I had to bump up my 110% effort to 200%.  So I did, every single day, and by the time the first game rolled around, I secured a starting position on the team.  Not only did I acquire my goal, but I gained the upperclassmen's respect.  Every player on the team had just as much if not more faith and respect in my playing ability.  This experience showed me that hard work does pay off and ever since, I have been giving 200% to get to the next level of baseball.

I also set high standards in the classroom.  Although good grades can be hard to achieve while working and playing sports year-round, I always earn grades to maintain my honor roll status.  My goal is to continue playing baseball competitively at the collegiate level while getting a first-rate college education in business management.  I believe I would be an asset to any team at the collegiate level because I am hardworking  and incredibly social.   I have high respect for the game of baseball, my coaches and teammates.
