NBC American Ninja Warrior is a reality show that is based on a Japanese TV show named Sasuke. In this sports entertainment, the contestants attempt to complete a series of obstacle courses with increasing difficulty level.

Josiah Pippel American Ninja Warrior contestant created history by being the Stage 3 finisher in Season 14 of the game show. He was among the only twelve Americans ever to finish the third stage in any Sasuke format.

ANW contestant Meagan Martin is one of the famous TV personalities who rose to prominence competing in the popular game show.

Pippel was born in Moorestown, New Jersey, in 2007. He is a die-hard fan of the reality show and trained all his life to compete in the show. Pippel even used to build obstacles by himself to train.

The 16-year-old had already made the headlines as the youngest contestant in the American Ninja Warrior in 2020. 13 years at that time, he caught the eye of the audience after proving his worth as a serious contender in the game.

He was the third youngest person competing in the 2021 semifinals on ANW. In the finals organized in Las Vegas, he made it to the end of the second stage.

Josiah began to compete in National Ninja League at the age of 10. He has also participated in Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) and Wolfpacks Ninjas.

Josiah Pippel family belongs from Moorestown, Burlington County in New Jersey. The Pippel household has always supported Josiah's choice of career. 

Pippel's achievement in American Ninja Warrior has made his loved ones prouder than ever. The Pippels are always cheering for their beloved child and encouraging him from the audience.

The teen's guardians enrolled him in ninja training when he was only 8 years old. At 10, he competed locally and three years later, made a place on the national stage.

The TV star's grandmother describes him as 'very outdoorsy', a fitting moniker for the athlete who is always ready to make a jump. Grandma came up with the idea of building a small rock wall and obstacle course for the young boy in the backyard.

In no time, the obstacles began to add up as the young gymnast kept on improving his skills. In August 2022, he shared a video on his Instagram captioned "What a difference 10 years can make."

The video was a compilation of how he used to train as a child in his backyard to the present day where he is making history in a reality game show.

He was homeschooled. He trains up to 3 times a week for about 2 or 3 hours. The Salmon ladder and Flying bar are two of his favorite obstacles. He said in an interview that he likes anything if one takes a bar with him.

Furthermore, he pets five reptiles including 2 iguanas, 2 bearded dragons and a Chacoan white-headed tegu.

Josiah Pippel parents include his mother Beth Phillips and his father Mr. Pippel. Josiah is the first child of his guardians.

The teenager is tight-lipped about his personal life. He has not revealed the name of his dad on the media yet.

On the other hand, his mom has made a few public appearances as an audience, cheering for her son.

She revealed to the media that Josiah doesn't follow any sports team. He was born a ninja and he lives and breathes ninja. 

Pippel used to act like a ninja since he was 5 years old. He was always climbing and jumping all over the house.

Beth recognized her son's talent so she guided him into ninja training when he was only 8 years old. The young boy instantly fell in love with it and got a chance to hone his talent.

His dedication earned him a place at one of the most popular sports reality show at the young age of 13. He finally made it to the qualifying round of the Season 13 of ANW.

Josiah Grew Up With Four Kin

Josiah has three siblings which includes two brothers and a sister. He is the eldest among the four Pippel kin.

One of his little brothers is 14 years old and the other one is 11 years. Likewise, his sister is only 8 years old as of 2023.

When Josiah was 7, his younger bro went to a birthday party at a parkour facility in Cherry Hill. What he saw at the facility sparked the inner ninja in the young Josiah.
