Larry Linville was an American actor best known for his role as Maj. Frank Burns on the television series M*A*S*H from 1972 to 1977. He also had recurring roles on several other TV series and starred in several films throughout his career. Linville studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and acted on stage as well. He was married five times and had one child. He passed away at the age of 60 in 2000 from pneumonia complicated by cancer surgery after having part of his lung removed.
