Len Wiseman is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He attended De Anza College in California, where he focused on film. His early work included being a property assistant on movies such as “Stargate”, “Independence Day”, and “Godzilla”.

Wiseman made a name for himself by directing commercials and music videos, receiving an MTV Video Music Award nomination for Best Art Direction for his Quarashi video. He gained widespread fame after creating and directing “Underworld”, which has since spawned three sequels. He also directed “Live Free or Die Hard” and is currently directing the remake of “Total Recall”.

Wiseman was previously married to actress and “Underworld” star Kate Beckinsale. Their divorce was finalized in November 2019, with property being split evenly and neither party receiving a share of future earnings. Beckinsale kept all jewelry, but deeded the family home in the Hollywood hills to Wiseman as part of the settlement.
