Linda Greenlaw daughter Sarai Johnson is a seasoned fisherman by profession. Sarai was 15 years when Linda became her legal guardian.

The 31-year-old studied at Gould Academy from 2006-2010 and after that, she joined Champlain College to pursue social work from 2010-2014.

Johnson started working from a young age on her lobster boat. The full information about what she and her mother did in their past days is written in Linda's ninth book named Seaworthy: A Swordboat Captain Returns to the Sea. Now Sarai works as a fisher who is mostly busy in the summer.

In the book titled Lifesaving Lessons: Notes from an Accidental Mother of Linda, she has mentioned the emotional story about her and her adopted daughter a kid named Mariah. There she has changed her name to protect her privacy.

On late August 2006, in the early morning, Linda got a call from a near-hysterical close family friend. The newcomer's 15-year-old niece burst into their house the evening before. She was sobbing in an out-of-control fashion, stating she didn't want to go back to her uncle.

As local people examined then they found out that Sarai was mistreated by her uncle who used to consume alcohol daily in a heavy dose. All the people of the community were there to protect her, and with all their consent they choose Linda as her legal guardian.

For this role as a mother, she was not prepared and had no experience with this. At one point Sarai asked her How will we do this?. And the answer from her was I have no idea but if it's something you want to happen. it will happen.

With the role of mother, she was nervous about whether she was going to be a good mom or not. Sarai was good with her behavior. She didn't seem to like herself and had many showing of destructive behavior. This included a $500 texting phone bill, bringing birth control pills to dinner, that too when guests were present, and a self-effacing vocabulary.

Linda's family who were analyzing all these things wondered if she was up to the task as they were supportive and caring. At the same time, Greenlaw realized that the girl had faced many problems and needed her love, support, and care to heal her from that incident.

Sarai Raises A Family With Partner Daniel

On 16 September 2017, Sarai married Daniel K Hitchcock. The pair tied the know at Isle au Haut Light which is also known as Robinson Point Light.

Daniel was born in May 1998 in Sedgwick. He graduated from Plymouth State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree. In 2014, he became the CFO of Wesmac Custom Boats, Incorporation.
