Personal Statement

Volleyball has been a passion of mine for many years. I began playing in the third grade and have loved it ever since. I currently have 5 years of club experience and have been on varsity since my freshman year. I always strive to compete at the highest level possible, as I love the competitive atmosphere and playing alongside my teammates. Volleyball has taught me the importance of having discipline, being able to work as a team, and always bringing focus and a strong mental mindset to every practice and game. Most importantly, volleyball has taught me to take on challenges and always be the best player I can be. I will always work to be a positive role model on and off the court and bring an encouraging and upbeat attitude everyday.

I also believe academics and community service are extremely important. I take advanced placement classes and am currently ranked 3rd in my class. I am very determined and dedicated to doing well in my studies. I am an extremely hard worker and am willing to do whatever it takes to excel both in the classroom and on the court. As for community service, I am a member of the student council, PALS ( Peer Assisted Leadership), Volunteens ( volunteer program at United Regional Hospital), BRAVO ( Being Responsible and Active through Volunteering for Others), and Alpha Forum ( doing a variety of projects to help the community). I also went on a mission trip to New Orleans, Louisiana and have attended SLU (Student Leadership University) 101 and 201.

My collegiate goals are to attend a college with a great volleyball program and rigorous academic courses in order to receive the best education possible. Thank you for viewing my profile!
