Personal Statement

I believe that one of the most outstanding characteristics that I would like you to take into consideration would be my work ethic. Because of my family I have always had a strong work ethic. Over the last year I have developed that even further. I realized, that after starting a few games in my sophomore season I have potential to really do something special in this sport. I am in the gym before school every Monday, Wednsday, and Friday lifting weights. Then, after school,I go back for intense cardio for an hour and then vigorous speed training. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays I come in the gym after school to do football oriented workouts or additional speed work for an hour or two depending on the day. My coaches are Parisi Speed school trainers and they have helped me enormously. Many things like strength and speed have not come as naturally to me as some other people and that is why I am constantly in the gym so I can get those attributes. However, I do have one outstanding characteristic when it comes to physical ability. I can catch the football like no one else on a field. My hands are like glue and have been ever since I was little.

Another characteristic that is unique to me is my intelligence on the football field. Last season I had to know all four possible wide out positions that were incorporated into our offense. I handled it well and knew what I was doing at all times. I have a very keen sense on where to be on the field and how to exploit opponent's weaknesses. If I had one thing you can count on me for would be that you can depend on me and have confidence in me to carry out my assignment at all times and help any other player with an assignment.

I would like to go anywhere in the country to play football at the next level. My concern is the academic prestige of that school. I know it is sad to face the truth, but my football career can end at any moment. That is why I want a prestigious college education so I can not only be successful on the field, but in life as well.
