Clare Magaret Donovan is the elder sister of Maxwell by three years. Clare started her professional career as an actress and model at the age of 12.

The 20-year-old Clare was involved in theatre as a school kid. She played the role of the White Rabbit in Shrek the Musical while she was in the seventh grade.

The play was performed in Theatre Aspen, a non-profit organization in Aspen, Colorado.

The Gifted actress started her journey as a professional actress in 2015 with the TV series Bunk'd. She landed a significant role in the TV series The Gifted in 2019, where she appeared as Clare.

Other notable works of the actress include the TV series Solve and the movie The Breakdown.

Donovan has also been involved in modeling. In November 2020, she collaborated with makeup artist Vanessa Venancio and photographer Jon McKee for an outdoor photoshoot. 

Vouge LA featured the interview with the Breakdown actress on Septmeber 8, 2022, titled Life & Work with Clare Margaret Donovan.

In the interview, Donovan revealed that she made her brother star in elaborate productions ranging from complex reimaginings of Disney Channel shows to amateur gymnastics routines during the Olympics.

She further added that she would have them dressed up and do Oscar Night sketches.

Clare Has A YouTube Vlog Of Acting Reels

Clare and Maxwell developed a love for acting from a very young age. To hone their talent, the siblings started making YouTube videos long before their TV appearance. 

They have a YouTube channel @doubledonovan, where the duo has created playlists like Clare: Acting Reel, Max: Original Sketch Comedy, and Max: Acting Reel and Tapes.

The siblings started a vlog titled Late Afternoon with Clare and Max on January 8, 2021, where the brother and sister delivered Monologue and played games like guessing the movie lines and so on.

There are a total of three episodes, with each episode divided into four different segments.

There is also a YouTube show titled Road to Healing available on their channel, which has three seasons.

The show revolves around a group of people dealing with anxiety which come together for a 'mandatory' therapy session and share their stories.

The first episode, "Deaf Derkins," was uploaded on YouTube on August 11, 2018. The show was written and directed by Clare and produced by The Donovan Family.

The cast members includes Carl Gilliard, Ethan Remez-Cott, Hillary Powell, Clare M. Donovan, Tal Fox, Erin Donovan, and Rick Powell. Clare's father, Brent Donovan, is also among the cast members.

Clare Is A LACHSA Graduate

Clare graduated from Los Angeles County High School for Arts (LACHSA) in 2020. Donovan studied at LACHSA for four years.

Since it was the time of the pandemic, the graduation ceremony was organized via Zoom. The graduate shared her missed feeling about being a graduate during the pandemic via her Instagram on December 31.

The Breakdown actress admitted that she had dreamed of a grand graduation ceremony since she started school. However, given the adverse situations, she felt lucky and grateful that her friends and family joined her online for the celebrations. 

Donovan currently lives in Los Angeles, California, and has been passionately pursuing a career as an actress and writer in Hollywood. The youngster has revealed via her Twitter that she was inspired to become an actress when she saw Pirates of the Caribbean for the first time.

On February 18, 2021, the actress announced via her Instagram that Depaul University had accepted her into their Second City Partnership program. 

Clare and her brother launched a non-profit foundation, Nature's Negotiators, on January 17, 2023. Posting on Instagram, Maxwell wrote that the foundation's objective is to build a future where all voices are honored in brainstorming and implementing models for conserving, protecting, and sustainably utilizing the last of the wild resources.

She Had A Dog Otis

The Gifted actress owned a dog named Otis. The pet had been a part of her family since she was in third grade.

Otis was a black flat-coated retriever, a gundog breed that originated from England. This breed has an average height of 59-62 centimeters and a life expectancy of 8-14 years. The average puppy has a price tag ranging from $2,000 to $3,000 in the US.

Clare recognizes the company of Otis as the major stable thing in her life through every phase and in every place. Sadly, the family lost one of their beautiful members in 2021. Donovan shared her fondest memories with Otis and wrote a heartfelt final goodbye on her Instagram on January 7, 2021.
