The wife of Karun Chandhok, Akshara Kothari, is an Indian business executive. She got married to Karun in December 2014.

The family of Akshara was well-known to Chandhoks before their meeting in 2010, but Karun got to know his current wife only after they met during the Canadian F1 in Montreal.

Akshara is from a North-Indian family lineage, unlike her husband, who has Punjabi-Tam-Bram roots. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony, with just family and close friends.

Akshara got her education from ESSEC Business School in International Business as an EPSCI Exchange.

She also has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Queen’s University. She completed her MBA from London Business School.

She was pursuing her Masters's Degree when she was dating Karun. Akshara moved to the UK so that she could be close to Karun.

The couple kept a low profile during the time but were seen at racing events in Europe from time to time.

Karun’s wife, Akshara, is the director at  PwC Strategy& in London. Before becoming a director in 2018, she worked as a senior manager for two years.

She also has experience working in Commercial Foreign Exchange and Finance and Marketing.
