Personal Statement

My name is William Michael Patrick Porter but you can just call me Michael, I live in Norco, CA. about 50 min east of L.A. in a town that has 1 High School, our school is in the CIF Southern Section Big VIII League, Division 1, Norco Football has made 28 playoff appearances in a row with 17 CIF Final appearances and 8 CIF Championships. I have been playing football for the past 6 years, 4 with Junior All American Football league in Norco and the last 2 at Norco High School, one year on the freshman team and this last season as a starting DB on the JV team and the back up for the starting corner on the Varsity team.

Off the field I am a dedicated student with a 4.3 GPA weighted, I'm involved with ASB on campus as a committee member, I was sponsored by the local Rotary Club to attend a 2 day leadership conference, I am also active in my local Boy Scout Troop, I was elected as Senior Patrol leader twice and served 1 year, I also attended 2 leadership courses through scouting and in 2014 earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

I have my Mother the Paramedic and My Father a Fire Captain to influence my drive to help others and take pride in my community and to be thankful for what I have and help those that have less with food collections during the holiday season or volunteering in my community at the senior center. You get out of life what you put in.
