Patrick Mahomes is committed to his fiancé Brittany Matthews.

During a casual date night with Matthews on Wednesday, the Chiefs quarterback watched his alma mater, Texas Tech, defeat Baylor. 

The cameras panned to the longstanding pair during the game, and the footage naturally made its way onto the internet.

Matthews, who has since been criticized, became a topic of conversation on Twitter among several fans who attempted to interpret their exchange, including Mahomes moving his arm away from her shoulder and looking irritated. 

The quarterback seemed to react to the internet criticism.

People are strange… “I adore you, babe,” “I love you,” Mahomes replied after tagging Matthews’ Twitter name in a tweet.

“I understand Jackson, but why do people have a problem with his wife supporting him?” “Yea, you might think it’s obnoxious, but they’ve been dating since high school and have a solid relationship, so why should anyone care what she does?”  a tweet by the fan. 

“It’s wonderful to see your affection for each other. Love your haters…it just means 

you’re doing something right!” another fan tweeted.

The media caught the NFL star’s attention leaned over his fiance to tell her something in her ears. Patrick Mahomes Brittany Mathew was at the Texas Tech men’s hoop contest against Baylotin Lubbock. 

Mathews, a 26-year old fitness trainer and co-owner of KC’s current soccer club, has been in a relationship with Mahomes back when they were in high school. 

Patrick Mahomes Brittany Matthews got engaged in September 2020 amidst the pandemic situation. The couple plans to tie the knot sometime in the ear 2022. 

Brittany Mathew gave birth to their daughter, Sterling Skye, born in February 2021.

Sering Skye is 11 months old. She’ll soon be celebrating her first birthday.

Throughout Mahomes’ NFL career, Matthews has been a regular at Chiefs games. 

She’s usually watched with friends Kayla Nicole and Sydni Paige, who are the girlfriends of Travis Kelce and Tyrann Mathieu, respectively, from Kansas City.

Matthews went viral during the Chiefs’ playoff after pouring champagne from her suite at Arrowhead Stadium. In January, in reaction to the backlash, Matthews stated that she had designed “Team Brittany” T-shirts, with the proceeds going to a local anti-bullying foundation in Kansas City.

“There’s been a lot of discussions this week, and it’s been a tough week,” “However, my team and I have decided to try to channel this energy into something positive for the Kansas City community,”  Matthews stated at the time in her Instagram Stories.

This isn’t the first time internet trolls have targeted Matthews. 

She recently got backlash for splashing champagne on supporters during a Chiefs playoff victory. 

As the video of Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams players celebrating similarly continues to go viral, many are questioning Matthews’ treatment among the online trolls.
