Porto Sani Hotel Review, Halkidiki, Greece

Writer David Perry

The choice of restaurants at Sani Resort is astounding. There are 12 bars and 25 restaurants on site, ranging from relaxed beach-side dining at Bousoulas Bar to the Japanese restaurant, Katsu, (one you’ll want to smarten up for). The ‘dine around’ option is available on a half board and full board basis, allowing guests to move between the five hotel locations as well as the marina to enjoy the full breadth of options at Sani.

Stand-out experiences include The Beach House, where simple Mediterranean dishes such as grilled sea bass are elevated to gourmet standards by skilled and attentive chefs. Even a corn on the cob here tasted phenomenal with punchy kicks of garlic and extra lashings of local butter.

At Porto Sani, you might be forgiven for indulging in a three course breakfast. A buffet to cater to all tastes is served at Artemis Restaurant. Choose from omelettes three ways; more than 20 diverse sweet pastries, cakes and local pies; fruit, salad, cold cuts, cheeses and even a selection of Kefir and freshly prepared fruit smoothies. El Puerto, the Spanish restaurant is a good option if you prefer to ‘stay local’ at Porto Sani in the evening but the service here is ever so slightly rushed.
