Rashad Evans was a standout wrestler during his high school years at Niagara-Wheatfield High School in Sanborn, New York. Rashad Evans began his UFC career in 2005 after winning “The Ultimate Fighter 2.” He moved down to the light heavyweight class and won several decisive victories before facing Tito Ortiz in a draw at UFC 73. Evans continued to perform well, beating Michael Bisping and Chuck Liddell before winning the Light Heavyweight belt at UFC 92 against Forrest Griffin. However, he lost the title to Lyoto Machida and struggled with injuries in subsequent years. Evans won several matches but lost to Ryan Bader, Dan Kelly, and Anthony Smith before announcing his retirement in 2018.

In 2019, the UFC released Rashad Evans from his contract so he could make a return from retirement for another organization. A couple years later, Evans announced that he would be competing in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle Fighting Championship promotion.

Evans made his comeback fight at Eagle FC 44 in early 2022, where he defeated Gabriel Checco via unanimous decision.
