Rowan Blanchard parents Mark Blanchard-Boulbol and Elizabeth Folk-Blanchard are both yoga instructors. 

Mark and Elizabeth first met in Tujunga, California in 1998 when Rowan's mother walked into her father's yoga studio. The two were immediately attracted to each other and soon started dating. 

Mark eventually proposed to Elizabeth during a flight to Maui, Hawaii. The couple got married after two years of dating in 2000. Their anniversary falls on the 19th of May.

Even after nearly 23 years, the pair has kept the spark in their marriage alive. Mark confesses that his love for Elizabeth has only grown in the last two decades. He considers himself the luckiest guy for getting the most beautiful and caring wife.

Mark Blanchard-Boulbol

Rowan Blanchard dad Mark is a yoga instructor and filmmaker.

Based in Los Angeles, he previously worked as a writer/director at Samadahi Entertainment Inc in 2015. There, he directed a short film titled Failing Hope. 

After leaving Samadahi, Mark worked on the movie A World Away as a writer and director. The 2019 film featured his children Rowan Blanchard, Carmen Blanchard, and Shane Blanchard in the roles of Jessica Patterson, Carmen Landry, and Ralphy, respectively. Similarly, actors like Landry Bender, Barbara Boyce, Will Burgess, David DeLuise, Julian Grey, and Frank Lawrence appeared in supporting roles.

The same year, Blanchard directed a short film titled Trusting Hope with Carmen and Rowan playing the characters of Sky and hope.

Besides his interests in filmmaking, Mark is a full-time yoga instructor. He previously owned a yoga studio named Mark Blanchard's Power Yoga.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mark is a graduate of Northern Valley Regional Demarest High School. He completed his bachelor's education at Hofstra University in New York.

Elizabeth Folk-Blanchard

Rowan Blanchard mom Elizabeth is also a yoga instructor like her husband Mark.

She is also the creative director for Goddess Moon Circles, a spiritual hub. The group practices different rituals and self-care routines among its members.

The Blanchard family faced a severe problem in 2022 when Elizabeth fractured her shin bones after suffering a fall. As per her Go Fund Me page, Blanchard was out to see a sunset when the accident happened. She wanted to take a picture of the sunset but realized that she had forgotten her phone at home. As she returned to bring her phone, she slipped on acorns and fell down a hill.

Her daughter Carmen shared an update on Elizabeth's health on November 23. In the Instagram post, Carmen had undergone surgery to place a 14-inch rod and multiple screws. She also added that the fracture would have a lasting effect on her back and health.

Due to her injury, Carmen and Mark had to take extended leaves from their jobs to take care of Elizabeth. To support the family financially during the troubling times, her friends Lara Larkin, Vanessa Valmont, and Rebecca Prephan set up a Go Fund Me page. The page has collected over $15 thousand from 153 donors.

As of February 2023, Elizabeth is recovering well. However, the doctors have advised her not to do heavy lifting until at least March.
