The hotel's café, Bondi, is on the ground floor, facing the main plaza with its fountains and street vendors. Its large, covered patio is busy morning and night with locals and hotel guests seeking the healthy fare of its Aussie namesake. There’s a standard full English, but also ‘Bondi breakfasts’, including açai bowls with rice and coconut milk, Greek yoghurt with muesli, eggs Benedict, and a number of smoothies and cold-pressed juices.

A day menu features homemade pizzas, wraps, salads, sandwiches and burgers (including a highly recommended vegan burger), while the evening menu includes steaks, roast chicken, salmon and a huge rack of barbecue ribs, all prepared on a Josper grill. It’s nothing to write home about, but a good choice if you’re staying at the hotel.
