Sister Wives text thread has fans screaming for group chat messages to finally be released Mon 11 December 2023 11:12 Celine Byford

The notorious Sister Wives‘ 2021 Christmas text thread has resurfaced on a Tell All episode. Janelle Brown, 54, and Sister Wife Christine’s kids had a falling out with Robyn and her children while trying to organize a gift exchange. Kody Brown revealed in the series that he’s “ignoring” the texts – but fans aren’t letting the TLC drama go easily.

Sister Wives text thread explained

The infamous Sister Wives text thread happened during Christmas 2021. The Brown family children got into a huge argument in a group text about their yearly Christmas gifts.

Logan, Leon, Maddie Brown Brush, Aspyn, Mykelti, Paedon, Gwen, Gabe, and a few others, including Robyn Brown‘s children, were involved.

When the adults intervened, it turned into an argument. Robyn claimed she was actually trying to help when she kept trying to get the kids on a video chat to discuss details, which Paedon said turned “messy”.

Christmas drama started after Logan Brown’s idea

Logan Brown was the family member to originally bring up the Christmas gift idea. Kody and Janelle Brown‘s son Logan created a group chat for his siblings about doing a possible gift exchange.

Some then decided to loop in the five parents as well, which quickly erupted into chaos. It ended up with the children not wanting to hang out, as Robyn was “pushing for the video chat for the sake of the kids”.

She said: “But after too much pushback, I finally went, ‘Why am I trying here? I’m out, this is an effort in futility.’” Christine Brown then claimed Robyn said her kids “don’t even remember who their siblings are.”

The mother of six clarified that the entire text chain was “blown out of proportion that they didn’t want to hang out and all these hurt feelings about when Robyn first came into the family came out.”

Specific messages in the text thread weren’t revealed, but Janelle added: “It just kept spiralling, and it was done. With some of the things that were said and expressed, I don’t know if we ever come back from it.”

Christine had told Robyn she and Kody agreed for their kids not to take part in the gift exchange. Then Janelle said Robyn had told her she and Kody’s kids would “do our thing separate,’” she recalled.

Robyn insisted her children “really wanted to belong” and alleged some of Kody’s other kids told them “they didn’t belong and they weren’t part of the family and things like that.”

Fans want TLC to ‘release the messages’

When the Sister Wives text thread was brought up on the recent Tell All, fans were curious about what was said in the chain. Robyn claims her kids were “mocked” after the huge Christmas 2021 fall-out.

“[My kids] started trying to express themselves and the other kids started mocking them and dismissing them and it made them feel very ganged up on,” Robyn alleged on Sunday.

“What had happened was my kids came to me and they said: ‘We don’t feel emotionally safe to be a part of this gift exchange anymore.’,” she added. Christine also said her kids were “devastated” as a result.

Someone should leak the Christmas gift exchange texts. Screen record please. #SisterWives #SisterWivesTLC
