Law enforcement officials have no record of the tragic event, and her demise is unconfirmed by both her former manager and father.

The sudden death announcement of 15-year-old social media rapper Lil Tay has left many people questioning its legitimacy.

This is because police claim to have no record of the tragic event. Get the latest updates and facts on the Lil Tay police mystery.

The announcement posted on her official Instagram page lacked any specific details, leaving many social media users skeptical.

As the mystery surrounding Lil Tay’s death deepens, several news outlets have tried to confirm the incident with police.

However, both Vancouver and Los Angeles County Police departments have denied having any record of the incident.

Let’s dive deep to uncover what really happened and explore the reasons for such a bizarre incident.

Lil Tay’s Death Announcement

Lil Tay, whose real name is Claire Hope, is a 15-year-old social media rapper, known for her outrageous personality and foul-mouthed videos.

On Wednesday, September 29th, an unattributed statement was posted on Lil Tay’s official Instagram page announcing her and her brother’s sudden death.

The cause of death was not disclosed in the statement. It also failed to mention the time and place of the alleged incident.

At the time of the post, the Instagram account had approximately 500 thousand followers.

Lil Tay’s Father’s Response: Christopher Hope

Internet sensation Lil Tay’s alleged death at age 14 was announced in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

When contacted by The Post, Hope declined to comment, stating that he is currently unable to provide any information.

Chris Hope declined to verify the passing of his daughter.

Hope verified his identity but chose not to comment during that moment.

He expressed apologies for the inability to provide information and regret for not being able to offer assistance.

In response to a question about someone else confirming his daughter’s death, his reply was vague, stating he was unaware of anyone who could do so.

He ended the conversation by stating he couldn’t provide further comments or assistance before ending the call.

This update comes after Tay’s social media account remained inactive for over four years, but recently shared a teen’s obituary, whose real name is Claire Hope.

Sources attempted to reach out to Tay’s mother, Angela, at her work number but were unsuccessful.

Comment was also sought from the Coroners Service of British Columbia.

Following Tay’s death, concerns have been raised about possible abuse inflicted upon her by her family, including her father.

Additional allegations have also resurfaced, accusing Lil Tay of being “physically and mentally” abused by her “absentee” father.

These accusations were made in an April 2021 GoFundMe profile organized by her older brother, Jason Tian.

Former Manager’s Statement

Henry Tsang, Lil Tay’s former manager, has refuted claims of Lil Tay’s death.

In a statement to The Daily Beast, Tsang said he had been in communication with individuals who had an intimate understanding of the family’s situation.

However, Henry Tsang, a former manager of the popular social media star, expressed doubts regarding the family’s official statement.

Tsang explained that due to the complex nature of the circumstances, he couldn’t definitively verify or dismiss the announcement.

In addition, an anonymous individual claiming to be a former manager of Lil Tay questioned the absence of any family members co-signing the statement about her passing.

They also pointed out the lack of clear attachment or official representation in the statement.

This has raised concerns about the credibility of the news, especially since the family has yet to respond to requests for comment from Lil Tay’s representatives.

Police Response

Opinions among social media users are split regarding the Lil Tay police mystery.

While some accept the announcement as authentic, others perceive it as yet another attempt at gaining publicity.

A representative from the Vancouver Police Department stated that no records of deaths involving Lil Tay or her brother have been reported, contradicting the information in the Instagram announcement.

The department expressed their limited knowledge of the incident and confirmed that they are not currently conducting an active investigation.

News outlets contacted both the Vancouver Police, the family’s place of origin, and the Los Angeles County Police, where they currently live, to authenticate Lil Tay’s death.

However, both police departments claim to have no record of Lil Tay or her brother’s death.

This has led people to question whether the announcement was even genuine or just another publicity stunt.

The Vancouver and Los Angeles Police Departments have denied they’re investigating the death of Lil Tay, claims they have no record of her death and have not been alerted of her death
