The Golden Bachelor was a brand new addition to the long-running ABC franchise this year. Gerry Turner had the pleasure of being the first-ever Golden Bachelor and his season has come with many heartwarming moments. As Gerry’s season comes to an end, he has to decide whether he’ll spend the rest of his life with Leslie Fhima or Theresa Nist.
Leslie and Theresa have shared special times with Gerry. And, the rest of the ladies did too. More of the contestants had some hilarious times on the Bachelor spin-off show including Aunt Chippy taking a nap and Sandra letting one go on camera.
Where is Theresa Nist from?
Theresa Nist is one of the finalists on The Golden Bachelor this year.
She turned 70 years old on the show and hails from New Jersey.
That’s the home of the same fiery housewife Teresa Giudice, who has had many bombshell moments on the show. But it seems, although they share the same name, the Golden Bachelor star has seen a fewer dramas on her reality show.
Theresa specifically hails from Shrewsbury borough in Monmouth County, located towards the northern part of the state.
Another finalist on the ABC show, Leslie, comes from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Golden Bachelor star works in finance
Gerry’s potential life partner Theresa works in finance.
It’s something she delved into later in life, as she explains on Instagram that she has had many jobs and interests throughout her life.
Taking to the ‘gram in late November, she said she “developed a passion for the stock market” at 46 years old.
Theresa added: “I went to the library and read every book I could find on stocks and the markets,” and adds that she’s still in the industry today but “no longer daytrades.”
On November 6, Theresa shared: “At age 37, I loved being a mom to my young children and I was interested in nutrition and interior design…”

Theresa married at 18
Sharing a Veterans Day post on November 11, Theresa shed some light on her first marriage.
The Golden Bachelor star got married at 18 years old, after meeting her late husband at 14 years old.
Theresa explained that her husband passed away nine years ago and took a moment to remember him and “all the veterans who served” the USA.
