Trevor Tarras's Men's Basketball Recruiting Profile

Writer David Perry

Personal Statement

My first 4 years I was  part of  an amazing traveling basketball program in Northern Wisconsin.   Along with traveling ball, I played for the Antigo Middle School team.  Our last season, our team went 29 and 14. This includes the Antigo Middle school season and traveling ball. Playing on these two teams taught me the value of teamwork, commitment, patience and leadership.  Playing on this team got me excite and looking forward to my high school seasons where I could continue to learn and grow as an athlete.

As a freshman, I had the privilege of being a starter on our JV team.  I continued to grow as an athlete and was able to continue to get competitive experience that was different from what I had previously.  The 2020-21 season has brought on new challenges of playing both JV and Varsity as a sophomore with a mask on(due to COVID) and the school has limited the amount of play to conference games. I feel I have been able to make the adjustment and continue to grow as an athlete.  While playing sports, I have been able to keep my grades up above a 3.5 or higher so I feel that when I look at college, that I would be a good candidate athletically and academically.

In the future I will be looking for a college program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.  As I continue to grow, I believe I will have the talent to play for a college team.  I can also bring good character, positive work-ethic and leadership skills to make a positive impact on a program.  As a multi sport athlete, I know I have what it takes to work as a team, be committed and be leader for a team.
