Personal Statement

Coach,

I'm an 18 yrs old risning Senior at Summerville High in Summerville, Sc. I know that in most of the profiles that you'll read, athletes will talk about how they have played football their entire life. That is not the case for me. I didn't start playing football until I was in High School. While I didn't play organized football growing up, I have always had love for the game. Prior to moving to SC. I was born and raised in Phila. Pa. In Philadelphia I played Denfesive End for the NorthWest Raiders Pop Warner Team in 2010-2011 season. We went undefeated that season and was invited to play in the Pop Warner SuperBowl and traveled to Disney World in Orlando, Fl. And the games we palyed while there was broadcasted on ESPN. It was a great experience for me, and to see competition from around the country. That will be something that I'll never forget. This one experince has been the driving force behind me becoming a better and well rounded football player. Once moving to SC I soon tried out for Summerville High School home of The GreenWave, with Coach McKissick and his well respected staff and decorated staff. I knew once I've obtain a postion on the team that it the best decision I could make. With working with The Greenwave coaches I'm bringing my craft to a whole new level. Thru hard work, dedication and being focus on and off the field. And attending every practice schedule which is 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday, as well as time spent in the gym on my personal time. I look forward to crafting my skills through attending different training camps and The National Spotlight Football Camps as Top Prospect. In March 2015 I participated in my first Nike Football Combine in Atlanta, Ga. It gave me the insight into the college level competiton I was up against and further motivated me to be the best athlete I could be. I also want to use this great opportunity of playing football to futher my education at a great college. An become a more well rounded individual with the proper education, I know I can go on to great things with my future.
