Peyton List twin brother Spencer is also an actor best known for his performance as Carter Hunter in The Fosters.

The ABC Family show and its spinoff series Good Trouble.

The Fosters was a family drama show that ran from 2013 to 2018. It featured the lives of the fictional Foster and Adams family. 

Spencer initially appeared in three episodes of The Fosters season five and reprised the role in season 2 of Good Trouble. In the former, he performed alongside a talented cast, including Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Danny Nucci, Maia Mitchell, and more. 

While Peyton went on to find mainstream success in Hollywood, it was Spencer who was first discovered as an actor. He was only a year old when he first appeared in the TV series One Life To Live in 1999.

When he was still a toddler, Spencer went for an audition with his mother and sister. There, his mom Suzanne insisted that the hosts had to hire both siblings as Peyton was more interested in acting. That was the turning point in her career as she went to book commercials and TV shows. 

Meanwhile, Spencer had to wait four more years for his next acting project. After making his debut in 1999, he next appeared in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Tate Walker in 2003.

While Peyton eventually got to play one of the main characters in the Disney show Jessie, Spencer was stuck doing minor roles. 

List was less than impressed when the family moved to LA after Peyton started getting high-paying roles in successful franchises. At the age of 17, he wrote an essay titled "Having to Move Across the Country for Your Sister's Career."

However, Spencer has now come to terms with his sister's success. Moreover, he has also been getting frequent roles and is doing his best with every new opportunity. 

As of 2023, List has an impressive resume with 31 acting credits to his name. Some of his notable roles include playing Tommy in Exploited, Taber in The Bachelors, Jamie in Hard Sell, AJ Michaels in A Wife's Nightmare, Troy Faber in CSI: Miami, and Orphan Marcus in The Orphan Killer. 

He is set to appear as Peter McCalister in the horror movie She Came From the Woods, which will release on February 10, 2023.
